Like many artists and entrepreneurs, Gordon Huether started in his garage, growing to a small staff of five by 1989 when he moved to a converted tannery building, where the studio is still located today. Modeled partly after an architectural firm and partly as a collaborative art studio, the studio is made up of skilled craftspeople, artists, administrators, and technical advisors to assist in the transcription, management, and research of Huether's work. The studio is constantly seeking and developing new techniques for the execution of Huether's ideas. With the support of this team, Gordon Huether's studio creates large-scale architectural installations and freestanding sculptures using a wide variety of materials.
